Note: Maintenance of the runway at Lviv International Airport has finished, all flight of Wizz Air are operating again as normal from March 30, 2012.
Wizz Air will cancel all its Lviv flights from early April due to construction work at Lviv International airport. The airport is at the moment undergoing major reconstruction works for the Euro 2012 football event. According to KyivPost
the runway will be reduced from 2,510 meters to 1,613 meters. Other airlines that use smaller aircrafts will keep on operating. Airbus told that a fully loaded airbus A320, the plane which Wizz Air operates with can take off and land from a runway with a length of 1,613 meters. Wizz Air informed us that there will not be any flights to and from Lviv till at least October. We will inform you as soon as Wizz Air starts operating from Lviv again.
